I love draw

Hello everyone!! How difficult it is to talk about goals and challenges, because I believe that life is a constant learning and we always face different obstacles. However, I would like to talk about a great challenge that I faced when I was younger. At the age of 16 I decided to raise money to travel the world, and since I always liked art and for me it was a great hobby painting and drawing, I decided to dedicate myself to this and collect money. I remember my first job to replicate figures of the human body, bones and muscles, for a medical student who was supposed to present an anatomy work. It was very challenging for me to deal with this because I never took a special drawing course and because I wanted to do a professional job to collect money, for that I decided to specialize and perfect the work. As I a very perfectionist, I decided to search for painting books and watch video tutorials that would help me practice and let go of the hand. Finally, after a while of practice I

The future

Hello everyone! How difficult it is to think about the future, and the truth is that after the alarming announcements that humanity's life on earth is about to be extinguished by the extraction and misuse of its natural resources at the hand of man , Today my  pronostic is alarming.  However, if I had been asked this question a couple of years ago, my answer would be that I would like to live in southern Chile in a small house away from the city and on the way to the mountain range, I see myself working as a geographer and perhaps researching urbanism and den sification of the cities, I would like to be living with my boyfriend and my beautiful kitten Anika. I still don't decide if I want to have kids someday. In addition, I would like to have an art workshop in my future home, where I can paint paintings and make different crafts, I have always liked the idea of spending my free time in a space just for me and my projects. On the world, I hope that the current climate crisis

A Family Member

Hi! Although my family is small, it was difficult for me to choose a family member to talk about. Today I will talk about my cousin Juana Libertad Moreno, with her 8 years old she is the youngest in the family. Juanita lives in San Carlos (Ñuble) with her mother, grandmother, and my mother, and their three little dogs: Loba, Chica and Snoopy. She dedicates herself to going to school and being at home playing in the toy room, watching series on Netflix and helping our grandmother. What Juanita enjoys most is reading stories, watching movies and series, drawing and painting many colorful pictures with her hands, and what she least likes to do is go to school, although her favorite subjects are arts and physical education. I like to share with her, because her personality is too intense to be a child, she is very witty and has a great vocabulary to be as young as 8 years old. Whenever I visit her in San Carlos, we play a lot of board games, our favorite is Trivial Pursuit, and while it

Simone de Beauvoir

Today I will speak about Simone de Beauvoir, French thinker and novelist, representative of the atheistic existentialist movement and an important figure in the demand for women's rights. Simone de Beauvoir founded with some feminists the Women's Rights League, which set out to react firmly to any sexist discrimination at the time, also wrote The Second Sex (1949) which meant a theoretical starting point for different feminist groups, and became a classic work of contemporary thought. The first time I heard about Simone de Beauvoir was at the age of 15, thanks to my aunt, who read her texts from a very young age. If I had the opportunity to interview her, I would ask her how she sees the maturation of the feminist movement after the publication of her book "The Second Sex" in terms of her own trajectory, or what is her conception of love, especially because she maintained an open relationship with her 20-year-old partner: Jean-Paul Sartre. I find it very interesting b

Scar

Hello everyone!  In this opportunity I will speak of the villain Scar. Scar is a character who first appeared in the movie The Lion King in 1994. He is the brother of Mufasa, who governs all animals as their king. His name comes from the English "scar", and he is considered one of the most evil and cruel villains of Disney. It is a lion of dark tones, thin and with a black mane. His eyes are yellow with a green center, he has a scar on his left eye from which comes his name and his smile is very big.  I saw this film when I was little, when I was four years old. I liked it a lot because it is a story about animals that live in the African jungle, also because it has a lot of music and its characters are funny. In the film Scar weaves a sinister plan to get rid of his family and seize the throne. I chose Scar because of his cunning and intelligence that leads him to convince weaker minds, confuse his rivals or even put in his favor at any time. He thinks that any end

Beach

Hello! this time I would like to tell you that my favorite beaches are in Pelluhue, a city and commune located in the Province of Cauquenes, in the region of Maule. The city has around it five small beaches that with a week's stay can be visited all, enjoy its benefits and admire the rocks that are inside the sea. I like it because it is an hour away from San Carlos, and when I was little we used to travel with my whole family. Every time I go it's like being at home because we always stay at my cousin Nicolas' cabin. Together with my family we have visited different attractions such as: Los Arcos de Calan, Cardonal, Playa La Sirena, Río Chovellen, Curanipe, and Tregualemu. And although the area was hard hit by the 2010 earthquake, the people and the commune have stood up.  Even the last few years I have visited these beaches again, but this time with my friends, fortunately on vacation there are a lot of young people on these beaches. With my friends we love to visit th

Family Meal

Hello! Today I will tell you about a family meal that I remember very fondly. This meal was two years ago in Chillan at the home of a family friend, we were a great group. We met my family and another great family of friends, they all lived in exile in Hungary, it was a way to rediscover and remember those times. We celebrated that after several years without seeing each other, we were the grandmothers, the parents, the children and grandchildren. There was an enormous amount of food. They cooked an exquisite Goulash, a typical Hungarian food that has many hours of cooking in a garn olla, is a stew of meat, potato, carrot, onion ... and of course, paprika! (pimenton). We also drank Pálinka, the hot water typical of Hungary, very strong and with a cherry flavour. Everything was very delicious and transported them to their past!  It was really fun and emotional, in the afternoon we had fun playing in the pool and in the  night , after lunch, we got together to talk about our lives and s

Taking the street!

Hello everyone! Today I will talk about a project that motivate my days.  Is name is: "Tomando la calle! Por el Derecho a la ciudad de mujeres y niñas" (Taking the street!   For the Right to the City of Women and Girls), a project focused on promoting the use, mobility and appropriation of public space by girls, young women and women living in the commune of Pedro Aguirre Cerda, through collaborative work with the organization Mujeres en Red Zona Sur and the University of Chile, from the promotion of autonomy and urban security in their daily lives.  How? Invite the girls and adolescents of the commune to participate in the School of Urban Sports during the months of September, October and November, all Saturday. In this Urban Sports and Arts School there will be four types of workshops completely free of charge for girls between 9 and 17 years old: 1.      Bike, for incentive to the use and repair to the bike for part to the women. 2.      Parkour o the Art of Disp

Estrella Distante

Hello everyone! Today I will tell you about one of my favorite books: "Estrella distante", the fourth literary creation of the author Roberto Bolaño, one of my favorite writers because his narrative is intelligent, detailed and historical. The story develops with a group of young people who participate in a literary workshop, where one of its members Carlos Wieder infiltrates and finds out who belongs to some group of left-wing political tendency or who militates directly in the PC. It is because of it that he carries out the plan to know each one of the characters that compose this literary workshop, then he tries to gain the confidence of each one and finally he begins to assassinate them. I like it because the central theme of the work is composed of aspects such as: exile lived in periods of dictatorship and the violation of a basic right within a society, such as freedom of expression. I read it for the first time at the age of 15 and took it up a couple of months ago, a

Paz Errazuriz

Paz Errazuriz Today I will write and introduce to my favorite photographer: Paz Errazuriz. Paz has been my favorite photographer for many years, I have had visual and reflexive obsessions with her work. She is considered one of the most outstanding photographers in Chile, she is National Visual Arts Prize. Her work has a special commitment to black and white portraiture, in which she explores various social issues, emphasizing the crudest worlds and trades of Chilean society. Her latest book is in collaboration with the writer and biologist Jorge Díaz, and it seeks to broaden the discussions from a perspective embodied in blindness, seeks to address blindness as both a metaphor that has occupied art and literature for centuries, as well as a reality that is lived by thousands of people. What I like about Paz is that it captures images that are realistic and at the same time loaded with poetry. Among her best-known series are: The fight against the angel (1987) dedicate

My Best Friend

Today I will talk about my best friend. Her name is Francisca and I have known her since 2009. We met at school and soon became friends, we both had many common themes, such as politics, arts and music. I remember that we met at home frequently to paint, and we also talked a lot about music since at that time we both listened to The Beatles, Guns N' Roses, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Led Zeppelin. She was always good at singing and playing the guitar. By the time I left school, and I entered the university in Santiago, we began to see us much more because she was already living here with her mother. Here we visited museums, parks and went to many concert outdoor. For my second year in Santiago we to live together, she went to study musical interpretation in the center and I studied near her in this moment. It was a great year, we really enjoyed our time together because we know each other very well and share interests, plus we adopted a kitten. We stopped living together because she swi

Andes

When talking about walks, it's really hard to choose just one place. However, I think one of my favorite walks in life is taking the road to the Andes, from San Fabián de Alico. Every summer and winters, when I travel to my family in San Carlos, I have the opportunity to take a bus in front of my house to San Fabian de Alico, and from there walk its hills, visit the river for the day or even camping for a few days at the campsites. Last time at the end of February, I traveled with my family, and a friend from Santiago with her baby Luna and her boyfriend, we visited the Ñuble river and we promised to return to enjoy the river with the little Luna when she learned to walk . I really enjoy taking the road to the mountain range, it is a beautiful tour, full of hills and lots of nature. Unfortunately, a few years ago began the construction of a damming, the Punilla damming, and the place changed to a lot, the water of the river is darker, ist have less nature and there are more tour

With my friends!

This beautiful photograph was taken in February 2016 in La Paz, Bolivia. With my best friends, all geography students, we decided to travel on our summer vacations, we traveled through Peru and Bolivia, and our last destination before returning to Chile to La Paz. In this picture we are Valentina, me, Mariana and Isidora (from left to right), on one of the most effective public transport in La Paz: the cable cars. I like this photo because it conveys joy and love, we really enjoyed and we were very happy on this trip, it was an experience where we grew up in many ways. Besides, the cable cars trip is one of the most important memories of Bolivia, we loved it because it is a clean transport and the fastest that can be taken to travel in a city like La Paz. It has a very interesting route that is possible to see in all detail from the highest urban transport in the world !! It is really exciting to know this chaotic city from above! When I see this picture, I feel I would like to trave
